From The Washington Examiner

Caitlin Yilek of the Washington Examiner wrote:

Within moments of news breaking that United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley was resigning, speculation roared about whether President Trump would pick his daughter and White House adviser Ivanka Trump to fill the role.

CNN anchor Poppy Harlow floated the possibility at least twice on air Tuesday morning, noting that whoever replaces Haley would need to have “strong relationships” with lawmakers from both parties.

“I do think she may have some interest in a role like this that would truly put her on the world stage and put her focus on some more of the global issues where she may be able to have some success,” Harlow said.

“There’s been talk about how her and her husband would like to get back to New York,” CNN political analyst Mark Preston said. Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, previously lived in New York City before moving to Washington to work in the White House.

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter, who has been critical of Trump’s family serving in the administration, backed the president appointing his daughter to the position.

Others, including Mother Jones' David Corn, also brought up the possibility.

The New York Times reported in November 2017 that Trump and Kushner had considered a scenario “in which Ms. Trump could replace Nikki R. Haley as ambassador to the United Nations if Ms. Haley replaced Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson.”

In remarks to the press in the Oval Office on Tuesday, Haley called Ivanka Trump, who was present in the room, “a great friend.”

Is it just me, or is "Nepomania Runnin' Wild"?  We already have all three of Trump's kids in an advisory capacity in the White House, something that past Presidents haven't done.  Now, we're talking about one of them possibly being bumped up to US Ambassador to the United Nations?  This is truly a bad dream.  I want to wake up NOW!!!

We are definitely living in a world where right is wrong and wrong is right.  I want to address Ann Coulter's hypocrisy.  First, you criticize Trump for putting Don Jr., Eric and Ivanka in major roles in the White House, and now when Nikki Haley resigns her position as UN Ambassador, you flip-flop on the subject.  Is  it wrong or is right?  It doesn't matter does it.  If you stand on one end and then flip-flop on the same stance, you are a hypocrite.  I have a stance on the subject and I stand firm that family members should not hold high ranking positions in office unless elected.  I'm not gonna change my mind on it.  That's how we should be on matters of right and wrong.

But then again, when politics come in, just like things in black and white, whether you side red or blue, there will be shades of grey to get around it.

Just saying.
