Fans Crossing The Lines

Welcome to Free Byte.  OK.  Gotta rant.

I was sitting back enjoying the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. I was at the point when the legendary two-time WWF (now WWE) Tag Team Champions The Hart Foundation (Bret "Hit Man" Hart and the late Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) were being inducted. As Bret was paying tribute to his Brother-in-law, good friend and tag team partner alongside his niece, Natalya ("Anvil's" daughter), some idiot (I call this person an idiot because a fan would not do this idiot did) runs in and attacks 61 year old Bret Hart!

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW!

I've been a fan of this Professional Wrestling/Sports-Entertainment business for 35 years. In that time span, I have seen idiots like this a total of five times. Let me tell you something, if you as a fan, decided to take it upon yourself to rush the ring to interrupt a match, a promo, a segment or in this evening's case, a Hall of Fame induction, I've got news for you twofold. First, you are no longer a fan and you give fans like me a bad name. Second, if you encounter other wrestlers and they start beating the living hell of out you, let me introduce you to my favorite fan chant...

YOU DESERVE IT!!!

As I type this rant, I want to send a shout out to UFC Heavyweight Travis "Hapa" Browne (the husband of WWE RAW Women's Champion and UFC Hall of Famer "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey), as well as WWE Superstars Dash Wilder (of the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions, The Revival) and "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman.

WWE issued the following statement:

Official Statement From World Wrestling Entertainment wrote:“An over-exuberant fan surpassed our security at ringside and made his way briefly into the ring. The individual has been turned over to the proper authorities.”

This idiot is not a wrestling fan. Let me repeat what I just said. This IDIOT is NOT a wrestling fan. He crossed that line when he went and attacked 61 year old Bret "Hit Man" Hart. If Bret were in his prime, this idiot would have been in handcuffs while locked in Bret's family Sharpshooter submission hold.

Anyway, the rest of the ceremony went off without interruption, but I do like how D-Generation X reacted before their induction. I believe it was Road Dogg who said, "I'd like to see someone run up on DX." I'd say the math would not be in an idiot's favor. One of the idiot vs. five of DX... yeah... not good at all.

So, I'm gonna end this rant and I'm gonna go to both Bret Hart and Natalya's Twitter pages and give them both the respect they so deserve. That's the least THIS FAN can do.
