    The Associated Press wrote:BISMARCK, N.D. — A deadly arctic deep freeze enveloped the Midwest with record-breaking temperatures Wednesday, triggering widespread closures of schools and businesses, and prompting the U.S. Postal Service to take the rare step of suspending mail delivery to a wide swath of the region.

    Many normal activities shut down and residents huddled inside as the National Weather Service forecast plunging temperatures from one of the coldest air masses in years.

    This is disheartening, but at the same time, this was what I warned about. Here are the current temperatures out of the Midwest where it's the coldest in U.S. history.

    DULUTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, DULUTH, MINNESOTA
    TEMPERATURE: -29°
    WIND CHILL: -57°

    CHICAGO MIDWAY AIRPORT, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
    TEMPERATURE: -21°
    WIND CHILL: -47°

    GENERAL MITCHELL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN
    TEMPERATURE: -19°
    WIND CHILL: -46°

    INDIANAPOLIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA
    TEMPERATURE: -9°
    WIND CHILL: -34°

    Again I warn, if you do not have to go out and you live in this region, please stay inside and stay warm.
