Free Byte: My Dead Laptop and Return After a Month-long Absence

Welcome to BETHEA'S BYTE: FREE BYTE. When I was last on this site, I had just updated my "little red machine" was updated to the current version of Windows 10. Then, in five minutes, it shuts itself down. I had come to find out that the motherboard on it had died out. I waited a month to get a replacement.

In that time, I've witnessed in the news everything from the Mueller investigation including plea agreements, guilty verdicts and more eyes on Donald Trump, the passing of one of the great voices of a generation, Aretha Franklin, to the passing of one of the true giants in the United States Senate, John McCain, to the horrific TRIPLE murder of a mother and two children, and the father accused of it all.

It wasn't so much that I missed not having my laptop, it was the fact that I missed this forum. I missed being able to engage in a good conversation/debate on issues. I missed being able to set things up by posting the articles so we could launch a discussion. Sure we disagree on certain things, but that's the beauty of Bethea's Byte. This site may have my name on it, but it's just as much your site as it is mine. That's what makes it so special to me. It's not me, it's you guys who make it special. It's you guys who give it life. All I'm asking is that you do it again.

Let's bring Bethea's Byte back to life again! I know there are are news articles that need to be posted and conversations to be started. That being said. Let's get it going, and let's bring Bethea's Byte back to life... again!
